Just to remind you of the great fun we all had at our last Vintage Fayre which, I am sure, will be surpassed on Sunday, 7th August, when we will repeat the experience. We have more stalls than ever this year so bring plenty of cash because you are going to need it.
This lady and her two friends bought several items of vintage clothing on Saturday and looked fantastic in all of them. I believe that some of the clothes were worn at the vintage dance on Saturday evening which was organised by Blaenavon Heritage Committee.
Lunchtime was great fun when we went in the hall for a wartime treat. We had spam sandwiches and marmite on plain white bread - not very healthy but certainly filling. I have lipstick on my paper cup and sandwich due to the thick layers I wore to try and attract a passing soldier but no luck !However the day was saved when we later ate Rabbit Stew and fried Jam sandwiches cooked by Franco of The Walnut Tree fame.
