                              ABERGAVENNY/CHEPSTOW MUSEUM PROJECT

We had an amazing time last Friday morning, when we took a trip to Abergavenny Museum as part of the Museum Project.  As you can see the event was very interesting and the students came away with some wonderful ideas of things that they could make relating to the stunning vintage costumes on show.

New Season of Sewing Classes

Our ever-popular sewing classes started again last week and here we see some very enthusiastic budding seamstresses at our Wednesday morning class.  We are holding classes on Wednesday mornings and evenings and both are very well attended.

Hats seem to be the 'Must Have' this month at Vintage Vision and with so many beautiful styles and colours to choose from, it's not surprising we have sold so many!

This year our Summer Vintage Fayre is being held on Sunday, June 23rd from 10am until 4pm at The Market Hall, Abergavenny. Once again it promises to be a fantastic day with our usual vintage stalls, fashion shows and vintage cafe but this time we also have a photo booth and prize for the best dressed visitor.

The 22nd June is the 50th anniversary of the Beatles playing at The Town Hall Ballroom, Abergavenny and this theme will be reflected in our Fayre. The Beatles played alongside the Fabulous Fortunes and with tickets costing just 12 shillings and sixpence and late transport to Brynmawr, Crickhowell and Pontypool, who could resist.

Very Vintage Fayre

Bernadette and I had a great day recently when we attended a vintage fayre organised by Very Vintage at Cardiff Metropolitan University. We took vintage clothing, pretty crockery, handbags and kinky boots and £660 was raised for Dr. Barnados by the end of the day.
