CROCHET BLANKETS

Why not crochet a pair of blankets to fit in with the colour scheme of your bedroom?
It will take a long time, but it is not difficult work, and can be done at any spare moment. First of all make a stitch chain of the required length. Do not make this too slack and double the row to give a firmer edge. Keep the crochet as even as possible. When the blanket has been crocheted to the required size, one or two rows of chain stitch at the sides gives firm edges in keeping with the ends. Next comes the binding and upon this depends the beauty of the blanket. Strong washing satin is ideal being good-wearing and decorative at the same time. As an alternative satin ribbons may be used.
