70s TOYS

TOYS, originally uploaded by Vintage Vision.

We had great fun in the 70s with toys such as Paddington Bear, Emu and Cindy. However, apparently, the most sought-after game was Ker-Plunk which involved moving sticks until marbles were released. Jim Henson's Muppets were a very close second and as many of these toys were related to television programmes they got plenty of advertising. Hundreds of board games were also available including 'On the Buses', 'Dad's Army' and 'The Wombles of Wimbledon'.
