This photograph features Yvonne who is a volunteer and model for Vintage Vision looking absolutely stunning in an outfit she bought from the shop. It is a 1940's dress and was worn for a Diamond Jubilee dinner.

Vintage Vision at Hay-on-Wye

June 1st to June 10th, we will be opening a pop-up shop in Hay for the third year running. This is always a great opportunity to meet lots of new customers and fill our Famous Visitors Photo Album. So far Jenni Murray and Anne Robinson are in it and this year we are holding out for Mary Portas and Mariella Frostrup.

Vintage Vision are now ready for the Queen's Jubillee with a wonderful window display in red, white and blue. There is traditional bunting, a 1953 china Coronation cup and saucer and a Queen Elizabeth vintage toffee tin as well as vintage clothing.

Beatworks gave a striking performance at our Fashion Extravaganza on Saturday evening resulting in several people dancing the night away.

One minute this stunning ballgown was displayed in Vintage Vision window and the next this lovely lady was trying it on and doesn't she look amazing. Unfortunately she was bitterly disappointed as it was a little too small.

Telephone Outfit

My most unusual and quirky find whilst 'sorting' yesterday was this telephone outfit which I remember buying around 20 years ago. The outfit is in a box which reads from Milan to a lady in Edinburgh in 1958 and I think it must have been made for a stage production at that time. The hat is telephone shaped and there are several 'cue cards' reading 'Hold the line caller' etc. Maybe one of our models will be wearing this at our Jubillee celebrations.
