BOAC
These very collectible slippers and fan were donated to Vintage Vision by a lady who had travelled to the far east several years ago. The airline company which later became known as BOAC was originally the British Overseas Airways Corporation which was the British state airline from 1939 to 1946 and the long-haul British state airline from 1946 to 1974. Previous to becoming BOAC the company was Imperial Airways and in addition to training pilots in the UK, BOAC operated a tropical training school in Soroti, north east Uganda.

DISPLAY AT FASHION MUSEUM
Just a few of the contrasting fashions on display at Bath Fashion Museum. The displays were in glass cases so unfortunately there is a small amount of reflection but if they tempt you to visit the museum it will be worth it and you will have a thoroughly enjoyable day !
BATH MUSEUM
We all had a fantastic day last Wednesday when we took
Mrs Bluett to Bath Museum because she wanted to dontate the amazing dress shown in the photograph to the Fashion Museum. We were met by a lovely young lady named Elle who adored Mrs Bluett's dress and promised to try and display it in the museum at a later date. Mrs Bluett was given a book about the museum and a voucher for one year's free entry to the museum and by way of a small celebration we had tea and cake in the museum restaurant.
