HOUSEHOLD GUIDE 1941
This is the time of year for remembering the services of the postman, the milkman, the butcher's boy, the baker's boy and all the other 'boys' who have delivered things to your home throughout the year. The state of your purse should control the extent of your generosity.
You couldn't make it up could you ?
CHRISTMAS QUOTES
Santa has the right idea - visit people only once a year.

DOCTORS BAG
This awesome doctor's bag is one of my favourite items to come into Vintage Vision for a long time. I love the shape of the bag and am also very curious about the initials on it. Are you or do you know a doctor with the initials 'DIT' - would love to hear from you if you do! The bag is in excellent condition for age apart from the central lock is broken but all the parts are provided to repair it. A great collectors item.
Available in Vintahge Vision or visit our e.bay site vintage vision, abergavenny.
CHRISTMAS CARDIGAN
If you are looking for a Christmas cardigan then look no further than this gorgeous 1980s number in black with aplique pink flowers. It is a stunning garment with its sparkly silver decoration and will look fantastic over the Christmas season.
It is available in Vintage Vision shop or on our new e.bay site ie.vintage vision, abergavenny.

VV VOLUNTEERS
We had great fun on Saturday night when some of the Vintage Vision volunteers met for a most enjoiyable evening with Dance Blast a local dance school. We had mulled wine before we went and had all dressed in vintage clothing for the occasion. The evening was perfect and thank you very much Dance Blast and Vintage Vision.
JOAN
This photograph is of Joan, one of our sewing volunteers, trying a dress which she will be wearing for her local Women's Institute Christmas party. The dress is richly embellished with beadwork and is in a gorgeous shade of blue.

DANCERS
Several awesome dancers from Newport strutted their stuff to 50s and 60s music at our Vintage Fayre. It was fantastic to see their moves and they obviously take their hobby very seriously as they were all experts at the dances and wore amazing vintage outfits.
DISTINGUISHED VISITOR
We were very happy to see Councillor
Jane Foulser, Mayor or Abergavenny, at our Vintage Fayre on Sunday, 13th November but not too surprised as she has visited our shop several times and loves vintage clothing.

If you are interested in her product contact KiMMi (New Life to Broken Plates) on kimmi.handmade@hotmail.co.uk and I know you will not be disappointed.
VINTAGE VISION MODELS
As always we were fortunate to have the assistance of local people to model our fabulous range of vintage clothing much of which was sold on the day. However, if you see anything you fancy call in to Vintage Vision shop and play 'dressing up' for a while.
STALLS
Vintage clothing, crockery, accessories and jewellery were just a few of the exciting items being sold at our Vintage Fayre last Sunday. We had a very successful day with hundreds of visitors all of whom were very complimentary about our event.

A STITCH IN TIME
Tuesday mornings haven't been quite the same since Jean and Joan, two of our talented volunteers, agreed to help teach the arts of knitting and crocheting to willing volunteers. Here you see Emma, our newest volunteer, trying her hand at knitting.
SUMMER EVENINGS
The lady who donated this gorgeous Laura Ashley dress to the shop told us it reminded her of summer evenings, walking on grass, floppy sun hats, men in floral shirts and white sports cars - after all it was the 1970s.
The dress with this fascinating history is being sold in Vintage Vision for £25, was made in Wales and is size 12.
1960s FITTED DRESS (1249)
This amazing camel, brown and orange dress is typical of the 1960s. It has a fitted waist and loose pleats to the skirt. It it manufactured by Mortimer, is size 14 and is available for £25 in Vintage Vision.

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER
Regular visitors to Vintage Vision are this mother and daughter who called in on Friday to have fun trying on vintage outfits.
JEWELLERY BOUQUET
What a fantastic idea this is and so clever. This customer makes jewellery wedding bouquets from recycled broken jewellery and they are amazing. She made her first bouquet for her own wedding but already has several orders for more. I was really grateful to have the opportunity to see this and will now keep any broken jewellery for her use.

ARARAT BAPTIST CHURCH
After a very successful Hen Party which was held in our Abergavenny shop when the bride-to-be and her friends enjoyed an afternoon of eating, drinking and trying on vintage clothing, we were invited to attend a Vintage Afternoon Tea in the Ararat Baptist Church Hall on Saturday, 15th October. As you can see we had a great time especially when the 1940s trio The Siren Sisters sang songs from that era. We had stalls selling vintage clothing and bric-a-brac in the courtyard of the shop during the Food Festival weekend. The atmosphere was very jovial despite the frequent rain showers.
