Models: James Bond?
Could this be the next James Bond?
I am sure Roger Moore regrets posing for this knitting pattern from the 70s but everyone has to start somewhere and, unfortunately, Vintage Vision wasn't around then.

Events: Vintage Fayre
Clare (another volunteer) brought her mum along to help on Sunday. Their stall boasted a very large variety of vintge goods and looked fantastic. Much neater than mine !

Events: Yummy cakes!
The selection of mouth-watering cakes in our vintage coffee-shop was amazing and we are eternally grateful to all who baked and served etc. on the day.
Events: Abergavenny Fayre
The Dogs Trust were not needed on Sunday as Rosie the founder of Retrobelle bought this lonely little doggy for her baby daughter. Retrobelle also had a stall at the Fayre selling gorgeous vintage clothing and accessories.
Events: Dancing In The Street
An impromptu dance routine by these two lovely ladies caused much amusement on Sunday when they took the opportunity to enjoy the music.

Models: Preparation
As you can see we had a very busy time yesterday evening when our models chose the outfits they will be wearing at our Vintage Fayre this Sunday. We had amazing results and they all looked fantastic. Can't wait to see them on the catwalk !
Many thanks to the kind people who donated clothes for them to exhibit.
Don't forget to come along!

Events: Vintage quiz
Can you spot the deliberate mistake in this photo ? You will need to learn about vintage clothing if you are thinking of coming to our Vintage Quiz which is being held over the Food Festival weekend at Vintage Vision.
PS. The top has a 1970s 'flying saucer' design and the skirt is a 1950s 'Rockabilly' type garment.

Events: Abergavenny Vintage Fayre
Just to remind you of the great fun we all had at our last Vintage Fayre which, I am sure, will be surpassed on Sunday, 7th August, when we will repeat the experience. We have more stalls than ever this year so bring plenty of cash because you are going to need it.
This lady and her two friends bought several items of vintage clothing on Saturday and looked fantastic in all of them. I believe that some of the clothes were worn at the vintage dance on Saturday evening which was organised by Blaenavon Heritage Committee.
Lunchtime was great fun when we went in the hall for a wartime treat. We had spam sandwiches and marmite on plain white bread - not very healthy but certainly filling. I have lipstick on my paper cup and sandwich due to the thick layers I wore to try and attract a passing soldier but no luck !
However the day was saved when we later ate Rabbit Stew and fried Jam sandwiches cooked by Franco of The Walnut Tree fame.Volunteers: Elizabeth
Elizabeth, one of Vintage Visions volunteers, looked amazing at the Blaenavon Heritage weekend and, although looking very pensive on this photo, had a fantastic time as we all did.
Events: Blenavon Heritage Weekend
This friendly couple had made a special effort to look the part at the Blaenavon Heritage weekend last Saturday and Sunday and don't they look great.

Vintage Fashion Extravaganza - here we come!
Getting excited about next week's fashion show - and the loan of one of the original dresses from Cliff Richards' 'Summer Holiday' film! Took one of our young volunteers, Amy, out to take a trip on a London bus and recreate the feel of the film. Thanks to Londonbus4hire.com for being so kind - doesn't Amy look fab!
and if you want to see the dress in its original setting - take a look at this:
